Otherlab to build natural gas intestine storage tank

Today Otherlab was named an awardee for an ARPA-e grant to develop an innovative vehicular natural gas storage tank.  Our white paper, "Safe, Conformal, Gas Intestine Storage" proposes the use of expertise in design and fabrication of thin-walled pressure vessels in novel geometries to create natural gas storage tanks as light as state-of-the-art carbon fiber tanks at one-fifth the cost.  We proposed a lean research program, de-risking the idea at a fraction of the cost of many other research projects.
